Immunity: What to do & What Not to Do?

Biologically speaking, ‘immunity’ is the balanced state of organisms that has the capacity to fight against any infection, disease or unwanted health hindrances. This term has become a common buzzword in our daily lives now. Especially in times of COVID-19, strong immunity, with the help of various immunity boosters has become our top-most priority. And this blog post will help each and everyone to get a hold of what mistakes we are committing to prevent the disease and also the different ways to improve it.

Has anyone come across people who fall sick very often? This is because the immunity of that person is weak and not in accordance with the chakras of the body. Now what is chakra again? Chakras are those focal points in our body that help vitalise and re-energise the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical balance within our body. So coming back to our instance, the weak immunity level is one of the important causes for falling sick. The capacity of the body to fight the diseases starts to deteriorate due to which the viruses get a home to build their empire on.

Sometimes we tend to ignore the slightest drop in our health saying that it is just a mild fever. But the onset of such health issues connotes to the fact that our body is not functioning in the right way. Prevention needs to be taken before something grave occurs.

Why should we improve our immunity?

The fear of losing out on anything is one of the biggest fears to take care of. Ayurveda is one of the oldest medical sciences that we humans know of. It has not only delivered its ancient practices of Ayurveda healing throughout the world, but also widened the arena of the healthcare industry. The Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda Yoga Unani Siddha and Homeopathy) has made it possible to club the ancient Ayurvedic practices in today’s medical science.

In order to build a resilient immune system, the intake of an adequate amount of nutrients is highly necessary. This in turn helps to reduce the risk of virus infection in the body. There are three types of immunity found in human bodies- innate, adaptive and passive. Now, an attack on any one type makes the whole body vulnerable to diseases and infections. The following reasons would suffice the importance of having a strong immune system:

  1. Stronger immunity lessens the risk of getting infected.
  2. A more balanced body is obtained.
  3. It helps to get rid of harmful substances that might affect the body.
  4. To improve the lifestyle.
  5. To live longer.

Measures to boost IMMUNITY

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has affected the human race to an unpredictable extent. It is time that we revive and relive our ancient and past principles of leading a healthy and strong life. Ayurveda, as we all know, is an elixir of life. The world has been gifted with numerous Ayurveda wellness traits. And so, the Ministry of AYUSH has also taken an initiative to upheave the defence mechanism. The essence of the primitive science is based on extensive preventive care, and this care is of utmost importance now.

Being greedy to maintain a healthy body is no harm. Self-prioritising is something to be worshipped in today’s unprecedented world. Make yourself worth living by following these measures that will help boost your antibody response.

  1. General Measures:

(i). Drink warm water throughout the day.
(ii). Practicing Yoga and Meditation for at least 30 minutes.
(iii). Inclusion of medicinal spices like Haldi (Turmeric), Jeera (Cumin, Dhaniya (Coriander), Lahsun (Garlic) etc.

(i). Steam inhalation for at least once a day is the best during this time with Pudina (Mint) leaves and Ajwain (Carrom) seeds.

Following these natural practices can lead to a more healthy system. However, Ayurvedic doctors and therapists are to be consulted if the symptoms turn out to be severe. Kairali Ayurvedic Treatment Center is one of such places that offers the best Ayuvedic consultation, both offline and online.
